Let me introduce you to Prime Timers. This worldwide organization was founded on August 15, 1987, when 42 men attended the first meeting of the Prime Timers. The Ft Lauderdale Chapter was organized in June 2003. Our membership has grown steadily until Today Ft Lauderdale Prime Timers numbers more than 250, and Prime Timers World Wide has thousands of members and more than 50 chapters from Australia, to North America and Europe.

PRIME TIMERS is a brotherhood of mature gay and bisexual men and their friends who join together for social, educational, and cultural activities. Our diverse membership, some retired, some still working, are involved and focused on improving the image and quality of gay life through activities like volunteerism, politics, gay issues, arts, sports, and entertainment.

In the Ft Lauderdale Chapter, members receive a copy of The Surfer, the monthly newsletter which includes articles and a calendar of events including the guest speaker and topic of our monthly meeting. Invitations are offered to parties at member's homes, lunches, dinners, national and international trips, theater, concerts, tennis, bowling, bridge, and dozens of other activities.

As a member of Ft Lauderdale Prime Timers, you have the opportunity to network with other members who share you interests by completing our interest and talent/skills profiles which will be included in our Confidential Membership Roster. Almost all of our members choose to be listed in our CONFIDENTIAL Roster. However, if you choose not to include your name and interests, you will not receive a copy of the Roster. Your membership in Ft Lauderdale Prime Timers opens the door to Prime Timers World Wide. For example you are invited to attend national conventions, travel to cities and countries on three continents, or host international guests at your home.

Our membership dues are: $30 per year (single membership) - $60 per year (couples)
